Kepler-1867 and Its Known Planet

Kepler-1867 is a star 2220 light-years away with one known planet in its system. The star has a mass of 0.991 solar masses and a radius of 1.37 solar radii, larger than the Sun's radius. Its temperature is 5600 K, cooler than the Sun's temperature.

The only known planet orbiting Kepler-1867 is Kepler-1867 b, discovered by the transit method in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1867 b completes one orbit every 9.89 days and has a radius of 1.16 Earth radii, larger than Earth's radius. Its Earth-like classification reflects a radius within 1.5 times Earth's radius.
