Kepler-1825 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1825 is a star located 1400 light-years away. It has a mass of 0.835 solar masses, a radius of 0.716 solar radii, and a temperature of 5020 K, making it less massive, smaller, and cooler than the Sun. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, Kepler-1825 b, is classified as Earth-like and was discovered by transit in 2021. During a transit, a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1825 b completes an orbit every 1.03 days and has a radius of 1.42 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Its size class reflects a radius within 1.5 times Earth's.
