Kepler-1785 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1785 is a star 2430 light-years away. The star is 0.936 solar masses and 0.998 solar radii, with a temperature of 5660 K and an age of 7.24 billion years. Its reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet has been identified orbiting this star.

That planet is Kepler-1785 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1785 b has an orbital period of 19.6 days, and its radius is 2.7 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
