Kepler-1774 and Its Neptune-like Planet

Kepler-1774 is a star 2660 light-years from Earth, with a mass of 1.09 solar masses and a radius of 1.17 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 5940 K. These stellar measurements belong to the host star itself. The system includes one known planet orbiting this host.

That planet is Kepler-1774 b, a Neptune-like world discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1774 b completes an orbit every 59.8 days and has a radius of 3.18 Earth radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's.
