Kepler-1752: A Distant Star and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

Kepler-1752 is a star located 3140 light-years away. Its reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, at 0.824 solar masses, and its radius is 0.821 solar radii. The star's reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's, at 5450 K. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, Kepler-1752 b, is classified as Jupiter-like, meaning its radius exceeds four times Earth's. It was discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1752 b's reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's, at 4.54 Earth radii. It completes one orbit every 56.4 days.
