Kepler-1751 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1751 is a star 4210 light-years away with a mass of 0.974 solar masses, a radius of 0.967 solar radii, and a temperature of 6050 K. Its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this star.

That planet, Kepler-1751 b, was discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1751 b completes an orbit every 7.02 days. Its radius is 1.82 Earth radii, a reported estimate larger than Earth's. That radius falls within the Super-Earth size class, which reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius.
