Kepler-1688 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1688 is a star with a reported mass of 0.949 solar masses, a radius of 1.83 solar radii, and a temperature of 4900 K. Its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is Kepler-1688 b, an Earth-like planet discovered by transit in 2020. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1688 b has an orbital period of 5.62 days and a radius of 1.26 Earth radii, a radius estimate larger than Earth's. Its Earth-like classification places it within 1.5 times Earth's radius.
