Kepler-1673 b: A Neptune-Like World in a Distant System

Kepler-1673 is a star located 2370 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star has a mass of 1.11 solar masses and a radius of 1.13 solar radii, both larger than the Sun's corresponding values. Its temperature of 6010 K is hotter than the Sun's.

The sole planet in this system is Kepler-1673 b, a Neptune-like planet discovered in 2020 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1673 b orbits its star every 33.8 days and has a radius of 2.94 Earth radii, larger than Earth's radius. As a Neptune-like planet, its size class reaches up to 4 times Earth's radius.
