Kepler-1620 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1620 is a star 2920 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 3.02 billion years old and has a mass of 1.15 solar masses, a radius of 1.23 solar radii, and a temperature of 6160 K, making it larger, more massive, and hotter than the Sun.

The single planet, Kepler-1620 b, was discovered by transit in 2016, when it passed in front of its star and caused a small dip in observed brightness. It is a Super-Earth, a size class that reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius, and its radius of 1.61 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. Kepler-1620 b completes one orbit every 102 days.
