Kepler-1543 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1543 is a star located 3010 light-years away. It is 1.91 billion years old and has a mass of 1.39 solar masses, a radius of 1.65 solar radii, and a temperature of 6560 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, Kepler-1543 b, is Neptune-like. It was discovered by transit in 2016, when it passed in front of its star from our viewpoint and caused a small dip in observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 6.97 days, and its radius is 2.71 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
