Kepler-1473 and Its Lone Known Planet

Kepler-1473 is a star 2130 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 2.63 billion years old and has a mass of 1.09 solar masses, a radius of 1.09 solar radii, and a temperature of 6050 K. Its reported mass, radius, and temperature estimates are larger or hotter than the Sun's.

The only known planet around Kepler-1473 is Kepler-1473 b, discovered in 2016 by the transit method. Transits occur when a planet crosses in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in brightness. Kepler-1473 b has an orbital period of 14.4 days, meaning it completes one orbit in that time. Its radius is 1.19 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. This size places it within the Earth-like class, which includes planets up to 1.5 times Earth's radius.
