Kepler-1465 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1465 is a star 1170 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host is 3.72 billion years old, with a reported mass of 0.75 solar masses and a radius of 0.71 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's corresponding values. Its reported temperature is 4730 K, cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only listed planet is Kepler-1465 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet crosses in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1465 b completes an orbit every 31.8 days and has a radius of 1.77 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. A Super-Earth's size classification compares radius with Earth's, reaching up to 2.5 times Earth's radius.
