Kepler-1441 b: An Earth-Like World in a Distant System

Kepler-1441 is a star located 3620 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The host star is 3.89 billion years old, has a mass of 1 solar masses, a radius of 1 solar radii, and a temperature of 5800 K.

The planet, Kepler-1441 b, was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's observed brightness when a planet passes in front of it from our viewpoint. Kepler-1441 b has an orbital period of 39.4 days and a radius of 1.31 Earth radii, making it larger than Earth. With a radius within 1.5 times Earth's, it is classified as Earth-like.
