Kepler-1436 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1436 is a star 8250 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 3.8 billion years old, has 1.06 solar masses, 1.09 solar radii, and a temperature of 5970 K, which is hotter than the Sun's.

The single known planet, Kepler-1436 b, is classified as Earth-like and was found by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Its radius is 1.31 Earth radii, an estimate larger than Earth's. Its orbital period is 9.71 days, the time it takes to complete one orbit.
