Kepler-1432 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1432 is a star 7080 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host star is 3.47 billion years old, has a mass of 1.09 solar masses, and a radius of 1.13 solar radii. Its temperature is 6030 K. Its reported mass estimate is larger than the Sun's, as is its reported radius estimate, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-1432 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1432 b completes an orbit every 23.9 days and has a radius of 2.22 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. As a Super-Earth, its size class places it within 2.5 times Earth's radius.
