Kepler-143 and Its Two Planets

Kepler-143 is a star located 2,640 light-years away. It is 5.62 billion years old and has a mass of 1.06 solar masses, a radius of 1.22 solar radii, and a temperature of 5910 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

Two planets orbit Kepler-143, both discovered by transit in 2014. Kepler-143 b is a Super-Earth with a radius of 2.41 Earth radii and an orbital period of 16 days. Kepler-143 c is a Neptune-like planet with a radius of 3.37 Earth radii and an orbital period of 27.1 days. Each planet's reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, Kepler-143 b has the shortest year and the smallest radius by reported estimates, while Kepler-143 c has the longest year and the largest radius.
