Kepler-1404 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1404 is a star located 3,140 light-years away, and one planet orbits it. The host star is 4.57 billion years old, with a mass of 0.84 solar masses and a radius of 0.8 solar radii. Its temperature is 5,260 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are both smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-1404 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1404 b completes an orbit every 15.9 days and has a radius of 2.01 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's radius.
