Kepler-1389 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1389 is a star located 1620 light-years away. It hosts one known planet. The star is estimated to be 2.09 billion years old, with a mass of 0.81 solar masses, a radius of 0.74 solar radii, and a temperature of 5080 K. Its mass, radius, and temperature are all smaller or cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1389 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1389 b orbits its star every 99.3 days. Its radius is 1.77 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. In size classification, a Super-Earth reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius.
