Kepler-1341 b: A Neptune-Like World

Kepler-1341 is a star located 1560 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star has a mass of 0.79 solar masses, a radius of 0.72 solar radii, and a temperature of 4660 K. Its reported age is 1.82 billion years. These values describe the host star only, not both members of the system.

The single planet, Kepler-1341 b, was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet crosses in front of it. Kepler-1341 b has a radius of 2.99 Earth radii, classifying it as Neptune-like - a size class that extends up to four times Earth's radius but does not itself indicate composition. Its orbital period is 133 days, the time it takes to complete one orbit around its star.
