Kepler-1325 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1325 is a star 3170 light-years away with one planet in orbit. The star is 4.79 billion years old, holds 0.93 solar masses, spans 0.91 solar radii, and has a temperature of 5550 K. Its reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1325 b was discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness, and repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1325 b completes an orbit every 33.9 days and has a radius of 2.86 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's. That radius places it in the Neptune-like size class, which reaches 4 times Earth's radius.
