Kepler-1324 b: A Super-Earth

Kepler-1324 is a single star located 1570 light-years away, with one known planet in orbit around it. The host star has a mass of 0.78 solar masses, a radius of 0.73 solar radii, and a temperature of 4780 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. The star is 2.88 billion years old.

The one known planet is Kepler-1324 b, a Super-Earth discovered by the transit method in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1324 b orbits its star every 4.12 days and has a radius of 1.51 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's. Its size classification reflects radius alone: a Super-Earth reaches up to 2.5 times Earth's radius.
