Kepler-1313 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1313 is a star 568 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 2.69 billion years old and has a reported mass estimate of 0.92 solar masses, a reported radius estimate of 0.85 solar radii, and a temperature of 5450 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1313 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1313 b orbits every 3.83 days and has a radius of 1.76 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Its size places it in the Super-Earth class.
