Kepler-1191 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1191 is a star 3120 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 4.57 billion years old and has a mass of 0.85 solar masses, a radius of 0.81 solar radii, and a temperature of 5310 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

Kepler-1191 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The planet completes an orbit every 5.6 days and has a radius of 1.51 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
