Kepler-1175 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1175 is a single-star system located 3660 light-years from Earth. The star is estimated to be 4.17 billion years old. Its mass is 0.9 solar masses, and its radius is 0.86 solar radii. The star's temperature is 5450 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

One planet orbits Kepler-1175. Kepler-1175 b was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet crosses in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The planet's orbital period is 37.9 days, the time it takes to complete one orbit. Its radius is 2.99 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its size class is Neptune-like, a category for planets reaching up to 4 times Earth's radius.

The age is an estimate, and upper and lower limits are reported bounds rather than exact values.
