Kepler-1143 is a star located 1810 light-years away, and two planets have been found orbiting it. The host star is 4.79 billion years old and has a mass of 0.81 solar masses, a radius of 0.77 solar radii, and a temperature of 5050 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler.
Both planets were discovered by transit, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1143 b is a Super-Earth with an orbital period of 2.89 days and a radius of 1.67 Earth radii, making it the shortest-year and smallest-radius planet among the listed planets. Kepler-1143 c is Neptune-like, with an orbital period of 211 days and a radius of 3.6 Earth radii; it has the longest year and largest radius among the listed planets. Both planets have radii larger than Earth's.
