Kepler-1124 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1124 is a star located 946 light-years away. It hosts one known planet. The star is estimated to have a mass of 0.35 solar masses, a radius of 0.34 solar radii, an age of 3.39 billion years, and a temperature of 3660 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The sole known planet, Kepler-1124 b, was discovered by the transit method in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1124 b has an orbital period of 2.85 days, or 2.85 days, and a radius of 1.28 Earth radii, making it larger than Earth and placing it within the Earth-like size class. No orbital period is listed beyond 2.85 days, and its radius remains its most precisely constrained physical property.
