Kepler-1100 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1100 is a star 2260 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 2.69 billion years old, has a mass of 1.21 solar masses, and a radius of 1.34 solar radii. Its temperature is 6250 K.

The planet Kepler-1100 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. It orbits every 6.42 days and has a radius of 1.75 Earth radii. This is larger than Earth's radius, and a Super-Earth can reach 2.5 times Earth's radius. As a transit discovery, it was found by the small dip in brightness when the planet crossed in front of its star.
