Kepler-1085 is a star located 4450 light-years away, and it hosts two known planets. The star is estimated to be 3.39 billion years old, with a mass of 1.11 solar masses, a radius of 1.14 solar radii, and a temperature of 6000 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.
Both planets were found by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1085 b is a Jupiter-like planet discovered in 2016. It has an orbital period of 219 days and a radius of 7.22 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and it has the longest year and the largest radius among the listed planets. Kepler-1085 c is a Neptune-like planet discovered in 2020. It has an orbital period of 56.8 days and a radius of 3.27 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and it has the shortest year and the smallest radius among the listed planets.
