Kepler-1072 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1072 is a star located 3210 light-years away. One planet has been found orbiting it. The host star is 2.88 billion years old and has a mass of 1.2 solar masses, a radius of 1.32 solar radii, and a temperature of 6200 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1072 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1072 b orbits its star every 1.57 days and has a radius of 1.58 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
