Kepler-1045 and Its Neptune-like Planet

Kepler-1045 is a star located 3070 light-years away, and it has one known planet. The host star is estimated to be 4.47 billion years old, with a mass of 0.86 solar masses, a radius of 0.82 solar radii, and a temperature of 5300 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1045 b was discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1045 b is Neptune-like, a size class that reaches 4 times Earth's radius. It orbits every 26.4 days and has a radius of 2.69 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
