Kepler-1041 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1041 is a single-star system located 4850 light-years away. The host star is 3.55 billion years old, has a mass of 1.06 solar masses, a radius of 1.08 solar radii, and a temperature of 5960 K, which is hotter than the Sun. One planet is known to orbit this star.

Kepler-1041 b is a Neptune-like planet discovered by the transit method in 2016, when it was detected passing in front of its star and dimming its observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 24.8 days. Its radius is 2.94 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, placing it within the range of a Neptune-like size class, where planets reach up to 4 times Earth's radius.
