Kepler-1026 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1026 is a star 1150 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host star is estimated to be 4.57 billion years old, with a mass of 0.79 solar masses, a radius of 0.75 solar radii, and a temperature of 4950 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The single planet, Kepler-1026 b, was discovered by the transit method in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1026 b is classified as a Super-Earth, and its reported radius estimate of 2.21 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. It completes an orbit every 36.5 days.
