The Kepler-100 System: A Star and Its Four Worlds

Kepler-100 is a star located 994 light-years from Earth, and four planets have been reported in orbit around it. The star's reported mass estimate is 1.13 solar masses, larger than the Sun's, and its reported radius estimate is 1.51 solar radii, larger than the Sun's. Its temperature is 5840 K.

Kepler-100 b is an Earth-like planet discovered by the transit method in 2014. It has a radius of 1.34 Earth radii and a mass of 4.01 Earth masses, both larger than Earth's corresponding values. Its mean density is 9.18 g/cm³, 1.67 times Earth's. Kepler-100 b completes one orbit in 6.89 days, the shortest orbital period among the listed planets.

Kepler-100 c and Kepler-100 d are both Super-Earths, also found by the transit method in 2014. Kepler-100 c has a reported upper limit of 7.05 Earth masses, a radius of 2.2 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 12.8 days. Kepler-100 d has a reported upper limit of 3 Earth masses, a radius of 1.61 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 35.3 days. Both radii are larger than Earth's.

Kepler-100 e was discovered by the radial velocity method in 2023. It has a minimum mass of 24.1 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 60.9 days, the longest orbital period among the listed planets.
