Kepler-1842 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1842 is a star located 3010 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star has a mass of 1.06 solar masses, a radius of 1.13 solar radii, and a temperature of 5970 K.

The planet is Kepler-1842 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1842 b orbits its star every 14 days, and its radius is 2.35 Earth radii. That radius estimate is larger than Earth's, and as a Super-Earth it can reach 2.5 times Earth's radius.
