Kepler-1808 b: A Neptune-Like Planet in a Distant System

Kepler-1808 is a star located 3330 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star has a mass of 0.773 solar masses and a radius of 0.892 solar radii. Its temperature is 5530 K, which is cooler than the Sun's, and its mass is smaller than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1808 b was discovered in 2021 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it. The planet's orbital period is 23.3 days, the time it takes to complete one orbit. Its radius is 3.03 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. This radius places it in the Neptune-like size class, which includes planets reaching up to 4 times Earth's radius.
