Kepler-1734 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1734 is a star located 4840 light-years away, and it hosts one planet. The star has a mass of 1.08 solar masses and a radius of 1.13 solar radii, both larger than the Sun's corresponding values. Its temperature is 5910 K.

The planet, Kepler-1734 b, was discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star from our viewpoint causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1734 b orbits its star every 6.8 days. With a radius of 3.09 Earth radii, it is a Neptune-like planet, a size class that reaches four times Earth's radius, and its radius is larger than Earth's.
