Kepler-158 is a K-type star located 1030 light-years away. It is older than the Sun at 3.98 billion years, with a mass of 0.75 solar masses and a radius of 0.71 solar radii. Its temperature is 4720 K. Three planets are known to orbit this star, all discovered by the transit method, which detects the small dip in brightness when a planet crosses in front of its star.
