Kepler-1495 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1495 is a star located 4420 light-years away, and one planet has been reported in its orbit. The host star is 4.17 billion years old and has a mass of 1.03 solar masses, a radius of 1.04 solar radii, and a temperature of 5830 K. Solar masses and solar radii compare stellar mass and radius with the Sun.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-1495 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by the transit method in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, producing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1495 b completes one orbit every 85.3 days, and its radius is 2.94 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. As a Neptune-like planet, it falls within the size class that reaches up to four times Earth's radius.
