Kepler-1474 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1474 is a star located 3850 light-years away. It has one known planet. The host star is 3.8 billion years old, contains 1.04 solar masses, spans 1.04 solar radii, and has a temperature of 5870 K.

The planet, Kepler-1474 b, is a Super-Earth discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 36.4 days and has a radius of 2.16 Earth radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. A Super-Earth reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius, so Kepler-1474 b falls within that size class.
