KOI-142 and Its Three Known Planets

KOI-142 is a G-type star 1230 light-years away, with three known planets. The star is 2.2 billion years old and has a reported mass of 0.956 solar masses, smaller than the Sun's, and a reported radius of 0.88 solar radii, also smaller than the Sun's. Its temperature is 5470 K, cooler than the Sun's.

KOI-142 b is a Neptune-like planet discovered by transit in 2013. Its reported mass is 9.5 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and its radius is 3.44 Earth radii, also larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 1.29 g/cm³, 0.234 times Earth's. KOI-142 b has the shortest reported year of the listed planets, taking 10.9 days to orbit.

KOI-142 c was discovered in 2013 by transit timing variations, and its reported mass of 214 Earth masses is larger than Earth's. Its year lasts 22.3 days, second-shortest among the listed planets.

Kepler-88 d was discovered in 2020 by radial velocity. Its reported mass is 965 Earth masses, larger than Earth's and roughly 3.04 times Jupiter's mass. Its year is the longest among the listed planets at 1400 days.
