K2-325 and Its Super-Earth

K2-325 is a star 364 light-years away with one known planet. The star is smaller than the Sun in both mass and radius, at 0.274 solar masses and 0.298 solar radii, and its temperature of 3250 K is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet K2-325 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2020. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. K2-325 b orbits every 6.93 days and has a radius of 2.2 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Super-Earths reach 2.5 times Earth's radius, a size classification based on radius rather than composition.
