K2-237 b: A Jupiter-like Planet Around an F-type Star

K2-237 is an F6 V star located 1030 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star's spectral type places it in the F class, making it hotter than the Sun. Its reported mass is 1.26 solar masses and its radius is 1.26 solar radii, both larger than the Sun's. The star's temperature is 6360 K, also hotter than the Sun's, and its age is 1.02 billion years.

The sole planet is K2-237 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2018. It orbits its star every 2.18 days. Its radius is 16.1 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 434 Earth masses, roughly 1.37 times Jupiter's mass and also larger than Earth's. With a mean density of 0.577 g/cm³, it is 0.105 times Earth's.
