K2-166: A Distant Star With Two Known Worlds

K2-166 is a star 1560 light-years away with two known planets. The host star has a mass of 1.12 solar masses and a radius of 1.55 solar radii, and its temperature is 6050 K. Its radius is larger than the Sun's, and its temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

Both planets were found by the transit method. K2-166 b was discovered in 2018 and is classified as a Super-Earth, with a radius of 2.19 Earth radii and an orbital period of 8.53 days. EPIC 201615463 c was discovered in 2019 and is classified as Earth-like, with a radius of 1.22 Earth radii and an orbital period of 3.8 days. Each planet's radius is larger than Earth's.

Among the listed planets, EPIC 201615463 c has the shortest year, at 3.8 days, and the smallest radius, at 1.22 Earth radii. K2-166 b has the longest year, at 8.53 days, and the largest radius, at 2.19 Earth radii.
