HD 93385 is a G2/G3 V star located 141 light-years away. The spectral type indicates a main-sequence dwarf broadly similar to the Sun in temperature class, though the star is somewhat hotter, with a reported temperature of 5980 K. Its reported mass is 1.04 solar masses, and its age is 3.3 billion years. Three planets are known to orbit this star.
All three planets were discovered in 2021 using the radial velocity method, which detects the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion; repeated wobbles reveal the planet and its orbital period. HD 93385 b has a minimum mass of 4.2 Earth masses and an orbital period of 7.34 days. HD 93385 c has a minimum mass of 7.1 Earth masses and an orbital period of 13.2 days. HD 93385 d has a minimum mass of 8.7 Earth masses and an orbital period of 45.9 days. Among the listed planets, HD 93385 b has the shortest year by reported estimates, while HD 93385 d has the longest, with HD 93385 c falling in between at the second-shortest period.
The minimum masses of all three planets are larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, HD 93385 b has the smallest minimum mass, and HD 93385 d has the largest, with HD 93385 c holding the second-smallest minimum mass.
