HD 14067 and Its Giant Planet

HD 14067 is a G9 III star 463 light-years away. It is 0.69 billion years old and has a mass of 2.4 solar masses, a radius of 12.4 solar radii, and a temperature of 4820 K. Its spectral type places its temperature class at G, and it is cooler than the Sun; its reported mass and radius are both larger than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet, HD 14067 b, was discovered in 2014 by the radial velocity method, which measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. It has a mass of 4860 Earth masses and an orbital period of 2740 days. Its mass is larger than Earth's and roughly 15.3 times Jupiter's mass.
