HD 11755 and Its Planet

HD 11755 is a G5 star 767 light-years away. Its spectral class places it among the Sun-like stars, and its measurements describe a body quite unlike the Sun: an age of 10.2 billion years, a mass of 0.9 solar masses, a radius of 27.3 solar radii, and a temperature of 4310 K. The reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's, while the reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is HD 11755 b, discovered in 2015 by the radial velocity method, which measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. Its minimum mass is 1790 Earth masses, roughly 5.63 times Jupiter's mass, and its minimum mass is larger than Earth's. HD 11755 b completes an orbit every 434 days.
