GJ 411 and Its Two Known Planets

GJ 411 is an M-type dwarf, a small, cool red star, located 18.5 light-years away. Its spectral type is M1.5 V. The star has a mass of 0.39 solar masses and a radius of 0.392 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's, and a temperature of 3600 K, cooler than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this host.

GJ 411 b was discovered in 2019 by the radial velocity method, which measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. It has a minimum mass of 2.69 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 12.9 days.

HD 95735 c was discovered in 2021, also by radial velocity. Its minimum mass is 13.6 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and its orbital period is 2950 days.

Among the listed planets, GJ 411 b has the shortest year and the smallest minimum mass, while HD 95735 c has the longest year and the largest minimum mass.
