GJ 3021 and Its One Known Planet

GJ 3021 is a G6 V star 57.3 light-years away, with 0.9 solar masses, 0.9 solar radii, and a temperature of 5540 K. Its spectral type marks it as a main-sequence dwarf. The star is orbited by one known planet, GJ 3021 b, discovered in 2000 by the radial velocity method, which detects the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion.

GJ 3021 b has a minimum mass of 1070 Earth masses, a lower bound on its true mass, and orbits in 134 days. Its minimum mass is roughly 3.37 times Jupiter's mass and larger than Earth's. No additional planet is known for this host.
