G 264-012 is an M-type main-sequence dwarf, a small, cool red star, located 52.2 light-years away. Its spectral type is M4.0 V, and its reported temperature is 3330 K, cooler than the Sun's. The star's reported mass estimate is 0.297 solar masses and its reported radius estimate is 0.305 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this host.
G 264-012 b was discovered in 2021 by the radial velocity method. This technique measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion, and repeated wobbles reveal the planet and its orbital period. G 264-012 b has a minimum mass of 2.5 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 2.31 days. Among the listed planets, it has the shortest year by reported estimates.
G 264-012 c was also discovered in 2021 by radial velocity. Its minimum mass is 3.75 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and its orbital period is 8.05 days. Among the listed planets, it has the longest year by reported estimates. Among the listed planets, G 264-012 c has the largest minimum mass, while G 264-012 b has the smallest.
