DMPP-6 is a star 178 light-years away with two known planets, DMPP-6 b and DMPP-6 c. The star has a reported mass of 1.18 solar masses, a radius of 1.25 solar radii, and a temperature of 6180 K. Each of those figures is larger or hotter than the Sun's corresponding value. Both planets were discovered in 2026 by the radial velocity method, which detects the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion; repeated wobbles reveal the planet and its orbital period.
DMPP-6 b has a minimum mass of 5.8 Earth masses and an orbital period of 7.6 days, the shortest year among the listed planets. DMPP-6 c has a minimum mass of 13.5 Earth masses and an orbital period of 36.4 days, the longest year among the listed planets. Both minimum masses are larger than Earth's, and among the two planets DMPP-6 b has the smaller minimum mass while DMPP-6 c has the larger.
